The idea came up while sitting around a dining table in Nevada City, CA. Kids often say things that we as parents don’t understand or accept. Instead, we fantasize about the things that we want our kids to say, so much that we dress them in clothing with cute sayings, of course none which they ever say. Through awareness and shared experiences, as parents we can begin to learn to accept the things our kids say, so much that we can feel comfortable and proud to dress them in clothing that says what they really say.
The concept was constructed by two people, Nate and Josh. Nate is a father of two young daughters. Josh is a psychology doctoral student. Illustrations are by Dan (US Navy Veteran) and Justin & Laura of Bell Jar Creative. Justin & Laura are parents of an 18 month old boy.
